Día de los Muertos

“People without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots…” -Marcus Garvey

Earlier today, I went to the Día de los Muertos festival in downtown Santa Ana. As I was walking around, I noticed a lot of different altars and food stands and dance performances. Each one of these represented Hispanic culture in their own way, which made me realize how diverse and important culture can be. This event was very large and took up around 5 different streets. This shows the significance and importance of the holiday for both Hispanics and others as well.
